  • Administrative/root rights/access to the Target

Instructions (Windows)

  1. On the Node Agent, open the command prompt ( Start > Run > "cmd" )
  2. Enter; wbemtest
  3. Click 'Connect'
  4. In the 'Namespace' field, type in; \\ServerName\ROOT\CIMV2  - Where 'ServerName' is your Target Servers hostname
  5. In the 'Credentials' section, fill in the Admin credentials you would use to login to your Target Server
  6. Set 'Impersonation Level' to 'Impersonate'
    Set 'Authentication Level' to 'Packet'
  7. Click 'Connect'

Instructions (Linux\Unix)

  1. On the Node Agent, open up a Terminal window ( CTRL+ALT+T )
  2. Ensure the SSH Service is running on both Node/Proxy agent and Target (Eg: service sshd start)
  3. Enter the command; sudo ssh <user>@<target>
(Replace <user> and <target> with corresponding names)

Conclusion

If the steps above display an error, please verify if there are any firewall restrictions from the Node Agent to the Target.
Also verify if the user has the correct permissions for access.
