[ER] Groundlabs.repo file is missing

Issue

While trying to perform a online update for the Master Server, the User encounters an error message saying that the 'Groundlabs.repo' file is missing.

 

Resolution

Follow these steps on your Master Server Terminal console:

  1. Firstly, try to install repolist;
    yum repolist
    yum repolist all
  2. Check the contents of /etc/yum.repos.d;
    ls -a /etc/yum.repos.d
    .. it should display the following files
    - CentOS-Base.repo
    - CentOS-Debuginfo.repo
    - CentOS-fasttrack.repo
    - CentOS-Media.repo
    - CentOS-Vault.repo
    - GroundLabs.repo
  3. If 'GroundLabs.repo' is indeed missing, you can create it with the command; cat > GroundLabs.repo
    Fill in the contents with:
    [GroundLabs]
    comment="Ground Labs Update Server"
    baseurl=https://updates.groundlabs.com:8843/
    gpgcheck=0
    enabled=1
    sslverify=1

    (Enter, CTRL + D to denote end of file)
  4. Ensure the permissions are correct (644) on the file and that it's owned by root:root;
    ls -l Groundlabs.repo

    ls.png

    .. if the permissions need to be changed, use the command;
    chmod 644 GroundLabs.repo
  5. Enter commands;
    yum-config-manager --enable GroundLabs
    yum repolist
  6. Try updating again;
    yum update er2-master
